Victoria songstress Nelly Furtado and Toronto hip-hop artist k-os are among a star-studded group who have been announced as performers at a celebration of late Jacksoul singer Haydain Neale.
Keshia Chante, Divine Brown, Luke McMaster and Justin Nozuka are also scheduled to perform at the concert, which will be held Monday at Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre.
Neale died of lung cancer on Nov. 22.
He fronted Jacksoul, a Juno Award-winning soul group best known for hits including Can’t Stop, and Still Believe in Love.
Jacksoul released a new album, “SOULmate,” on Dec. 1.
All proceeds from the concert and sales of the new record will go to the Haydain Neale Family Trust.
