Singer, songwriter and producer Nelly Furtado's new album Mi Plan debuts at #1 on Billboard's "Top Latin Albums" chart, making it the highest debut of 2009 for a Latin Pop album.

With MI PLAN also entrenched atop both the iTunes and Amazon Latin sales charts, the album is simultaneously the genre's top digital release in the country. Continuing Furtado's chart-topping trend this week, the album's first single, “Manos al Aire” continues to firmly hold the Number One position on the "Hot Latin Songs" chart for a fourth consecutive week.

On the international front, MI PLAN bowed at #1 on iTunes Mexico, #1 in Central Americaand posted Top 5 album chart debuts in Germany, Colombia, Spain and Mexico, as well as top 20 on the Canadian Soundscan. “Manos al Aire” is likewise dominating radio charts in those countries- as well as Italy, Chile, Mexico and the rest of Latin America.

At the end of the month, Nelly Furtado will travel to Europe to continue her dedicated promotion of MI PLAN where she present her hit single, “Manos al Aire” live for the first time.
