Nelly and sound producer love return from Hawaiian break
With a huge smile lighting up her face as she strolled hand-in-hand at the Maui airport with sound engineer Demacio Castellon, Nelly Furtado couldn't have looked happier. In flip-flops and beachwear, the Canadian songbird and her beau were still clearly in holiday mode as their summer vacation on the Hawaiian island came to an end.
While she's clearly happy to show off her handsome love, the British Columbia-born singer has been less forthcoming when it comes to talking about their relationship status. After music producer Timbaland confirmed the couple's engagement in July 2007, she's yet to confirm or deny reports claiming they tied the knot last month in Tuscany, Italy.
Nelly, who is currently working on her fourth album, has a four-year-old daughter, Nevis, from a previous relationship with DJ and producer Jasper Gahunia. Asked why she didn't marry Jasper, Nelly told Blender magazine: "I'm kind of modern. I don't really live by society's standards."
She didn't rule out one day tying the knot, however. "Maybe in the next five years I'll get married, have more kids," she said.
